Personality: Once jaded by duty, Sofya has come to accept their destiny for what it is, a chore to be handled if and when it needs to be. Their attitude towards the world at large is a care-free one, not held captive by the passage of time nor by the binds of politics. With their extended life, they have grown bored of the mundane nature of much of the world, bringing them to find enjoyment in the novel and any amount of minor chaos which they might be able to stir up on their travels. They will commonly brush off the complaints, insults, and other disgruntled responses to their shenanigans. Despite all of this, they still recognize the necessity of fulfilling their duty, and would take on a far more serious attitude should they cross paths with their ever returning partner in whatever form they should take.
Belief and Philosophy: After their centuries of extended life, Sofya has become disconnected from the values of society. As they've watched time and lives go by, many by their own hand, the ideas of morality in the common sense have slowly been lost to them, caring more for their own enjoyment than the well-being of others. While they are beholden to their duties, they have begun to question whether or not the 'evil' mentioned in their prophecy was truly a threat. After all, there is much that some would consider evil that others would not. To them at present, the only evil is to not pursue their own self interest.
Childhood: Upon their birth, Sofya was brought before a soothsayer and were given a prophetic omen that their partner, should they live long past their bond, would come to do great evil, and that they would be the one to stop them. With this personal prophecy in mind, they were trained in the ways of the dragon slayers. The training was difficult and left them without much of a real childhood. In time, their first partner would find them, and be felled by their hand, beginning their eternal duty to fell each bearer of their mark.
Recent History: It's been centuries since their first partner, and decades since their last. In those years Sofya has continued their travels around the world, collecting ever more stories and spreading even more. With time stories have spread of "The Cursed Dragon Mark," the bearer of which is doomed to die by a malevolent wraith. They've used these stories to steer away from where rumors of the mark appearing sprout up, running them would just mean more work after all. Due to these stories, they've also come to hide their own mark to avoid any connection to the story, though some who are very astute may find the correlation between their appearances and the deaths of the "cursed."
