Eldigan Agravain

Appearance: Eldigan is a tall, well built man with strong stature. He has an affinity for dark, straight cut clothing. Sporting well ironed and structured vests and long pants, tailed suits and square toed shoes. His skin is pale, only revealing some coloring under his eyes or beneath his cheekbones. His eyes are a deep jade which reflect light mint tones in light. His hair is a deep cerulean with some tints of greener-blues in the deeper sections. His attire often changes based on the people he surrounds himself with, though this is mostly minor accents and color changes.

Voice: Eldigan’s voice is on the lower end, with a soft timbre. It carries a hum of humble pride, moving about in tone with good intent and respectful inquiry. His tone often carries a curious, politely sarcastic infliction. Very rarely does he actually sound sad, though he has a tendency of feeling sad very often- like his tone doesn’t allow it.

Profession: Mortician, Coroner - Eldigan has been a forensic biologist for over a dozen years. He has studied closely with many professionals to cater his craft to working in determining the cause of death for over hundreds of individuals within his home city. He has a great talent for his work, and thus it is very close to him. He practices many modern methods enthusiastically for forensic measures.

Hobbies and Talents: Eldigan is very fond of practicing mimicry magic, so much so that it has become his main hobby in the outlets he practices it in. He is a prolific trickster, and has written a lot of zany and comedic books on the subject of all magics he’s mimicked, and how to start. He has currently written over 13 books on mimicry. Though he writes under a pen-name, his loved ones and close friends are all aware of his shenanigans in literature. Devoted to his day-job, it’s a very, very close secret that he’s an author. Otherwise, Eldigan has a lot of love for baking. When home, he’s often found making bread starters, muffins, or with a full oven and a crowded countertop. Eldigan is also very proficient in fencing, taking it up as a young man. He has gone to many tournaments and won many accolades for this sport. Eventually, he graduated from fencing to sword fighting, and then greatsword fighting. Being a bigger man, he’s always enjoyed sporting bigger weapons for the need of combat. Typically, Eldigan is a pacifist and doesn’t actually use these weapons, but has a fondness for using them in sport.

Extra Details: Eldigan has a tendency for hiding away in his home, a habit created during his younger years of living as a mostly-artrune in Esfandell. He does not move around the city without a family member around, mostly his brother. His brother, Carter, is his closest friend and companion. When he is around Carter, he mimics his illusionary magic, and feels very secure when doing so. When Carter is away, Eldigan doesn’t always feel like himself. He is very protective over Carter, and is his guard on his detective work cases.

Personality: Eldigan is a very personable man. He’s very charming and calm in most ordeals, speaking softly and calmly no matter the subject of conversation. He finds it very easy to speak to strangers, and to start enjoyable talks with anyone he sees fit. Eldigan is covertly always searching for someone unique and interesting to be around, as he seeks interesting people to bring excitement into his life and personality. Without other people, Eldigan often feels lost. Eldigan is naturally compassionate and caring, always putting the needs of others before his own. He possesses an uncanny ability to connect with people on a deep level, which fuels his desire to mimic their characteristics. He seeks out individuals with unique and intriguing lives, yearning to absorb their experiences and make them his own. Despite his struggles with self-identity, Eldigan has a genuine desire to understand and support others, often becoming a trusted confidant and source of comfort.

Belief and Philosophy: Being majority Artrune, Eldigan has had a good deal of complications growing up in predominantly Mewah land. His family being blue-blooded (mostly) Mewah, and considered aligned with great politicians, Eldigan has been spared many times from racial prejudice. Eldigan has resorted to remaining inside due to this fear, despite his family’s tendency to protect him. His internalized complications with the racial landscape of Esfandell. Eldigan has a high regard for the dead, and respects the deceased. He has a code of conduct for all of his employees working within the morgue, and everyone from the initial detective, to the funeral director must follow it to provide the best respecting service to the deceased and their family. His family worships Fengario, and thus he also worships the ways of them too. His mother is a high priestess of Fengario, and has taught both of her sons the wisdom and strong values of the Fengari.

Childhood: Eldigan had a rocky childhood, though still full of love. He was the first and eldest son of his family, born between his mother and late father. His mother remarried, and had his two siblings with his stepfather. Eldigan’s father was a bitter and cold man, dying a bitter and cold death. Eldigan is unsure of the way he died, and isn’t too interested. By the age of 8, Eldigan’s mother remarried with his stepfather, someone Eldigan holds a high regard to. Eldigan’s parents taught him and his siblings the honor of being respectful, and personable people. They practice proper etiquette, and above all, hold family above all else. The family being mostly Mewah, they protect Eldigan in times where prejudice arises.

Eldigan’s step-father is a retired guard, and is often called as a confidant for acts of protection and military within Esfandell. He is regarded as a fair man, and owns a large piece of property in the town center where the family resides. Eldigan and his family are well off, to say the least. When Eldigan was a child, he was involved in a mixup with the Esfandell guard where he was detained for a few nights. His father went looking for him frantically, only to realize his son was within his employee’s keep. He restructured many ordinances for detaining children and people after this. Eldigan still regards this situation as traumatic, feeling he was only safe due to having a family that was privileged enough to protect him.

Recent History: Mister Bluestone has been running his morgue with great efficacy, working alongside his brother. His brother has been following open cases to work alongside Eldigan to find the causes of death of those who he is told to write a certificate of death for, and embalm. His parents are alive and well, and proud of their sons working together. As of late, his sister has vanished which has caused some great discontent within the family, though they are actively seeking out her whereabouts.

Notable Relationships

Carter Lillian: Eldigan’s brother, and forensic detective. Eldigan’s other half, someone he would protect at all costs. His lead detective at the morgue, they are never far from eachother.
