Appearance: Perked ears slip through strands of a bun, being held out of her face with a pale yellow bandana. Leafy green eyes adorn a soft tan face, showing less aggression than those of her cohorts. A slightly curvy body lies underneath a bloodstained brown leather jacket, with a belt holding a butcher knife and a bottle of pure alcohol, bearing just a white button-up cut above her stomach and black baggy leather pants. Personality: Basilica Hasapis, a mewahen woman with a caring soul that permeates through her every action. As the cook and surgeon of a daring pirate crew, she brings a touch of compassion to their rough existence. Her culinary skills are unmatched, and her ability to heal wounds and soothe pain makes her an invaluable member of the crew. Above all, Basilica's devotion to her son is unwavering. Despite the perils of their seafaring lifestyle, she ensures his well-being, nurturing him with love and protection amidst the tumultuous pirating life. While Basilica greets all who cross her path with the warmth of a gracious host, her patience wanes with those who take her kindness for granted. Those who push the boundaries and underestimate her find themselves singed by the scorching flames of her sharp-tongued sass.

Belief and Philosophy: Basilica embraces a profound belief system rooted in the principles of Iilioso, the revered Mewahen god of the sun. Recognizing Iilioso as the creator of Mewah souls, she finds solace in the notion that each unborn child carries a divine spark, bestowed by Ilios himself. Basilica also holds deep reverence for Iilioso' sister, Asteria, who bestows the gift of magic upon the Mewah.

Driven by her faith in Iilioso, Basilica embraces the interconnectedness of all life. She appreciates the sanctity of plants and animals, acknowledging their crucial roles within the delicate fabric of existence. From trees and cattle to the diverse creatures inhabiting grasslands and forests, Basilica sees Iilioso' handiwork in every living being.

Yet, Basilica recognizes the duality of Iilioso' power. Basilica's belief aligns with the notion that such calamities are the result of Iilioso' divine judgment, a means of retribution against those deemed deserving of his righteous wrath. Guided by her profound faith, Basilica navigates life with a deep respect for the intricate balance of nature and the consequences of Iilioso' divine authority.

Childhood: Fairing from Pagoma, Basilica grew up hanging around the ports, watching those that came in and out with a deep fascination. At the age where she could enter taverns, she made it a habit to go almost every day, listening to the stories of the sea. Once she hit the minimum age, she made sure that her family could fair without her and immediately joined the first crew she could, absorbing every bit of knowledge that she could get her hands on. Starting as a swabby, she worked her way into the kitchen, learning every bit of extra knowledge that she could to ensure that she’d be useful. As she worked in the kitchen, Basil would occasionally shadow the surgeon, taking the time to make sure that if need be, she could take his place in case of an emergency, going on to work both the kitchen and the med bay to help both parts.

Recent History: Once she got comfortable on the waters with her crew, they sold the boat, looking for something larger. Basil refused to leave the ship, seeing their actions as abandoning the ship. As she hopped from crew to crew, eventually meeting the gang that she’s come to work with today. During her 30 years with this group, she met a sil’nyy man and partook in a lil bit of a fling, ending with the conception of her son, Mugrol. After his birth, Basil started speaking with a few more Sil’nyy, wanting to have some knowledge for raising her son with both of his cultures. Rumors went around that she was mingling with one specific crew member, quickly getting chopped down when said sil’nyy’s wife was at the dock waiting to see if his crew would show up. Since then, Basil’s kept the fact that Mugrol is her son to herself, most of her crew is somehow unable to put the two pieces together.

Notable Relationships
Mugrol Heliodoro Hasapis: Her son, one of the many lights of her life. Born from a fling that happened not too long ago, she still babies him at times, even at 16 years old. She isn’t one for violence, but if someone messes with her son, she’s fighting, no matter the situation.

Ailbhe Lafrentz Fachtna: Are they dating? Are they a frequent fling situation? They couldn’t even tell you themselves.

The Crew of The Luminous Wyvern: The most recent crew to step aboard her home, she treats them like family because that’s how they’ve treated her since day 15.
